I remember the first Uncharted being difficult on crushing, but I was also fairly new to games that involved aiming and shooting, and it was my first platinum. I do think the placement/removal of checkpoints throughout the game was really weird and inconsistent. If I had been a little more prepared I don't think I would have had such a tough time with it. For me, the worst part of Uncharted 4 on crushing was the ship graveyard, but I broke my own rule there and accidentally entered the fight with no grenades and practically no ammo. Each of the games had their sticky moments. As a side note, I also beat the Last of Us on Grounded. I beat all of the Uncharted games on crushing (not brutal since I don't own the Nathan Drake collection), and played Uncharted 4's crushing without modifiers. Yes, there were differences in feel and difficulty from the original releases but still an interesting data point. Point #2 and #3, sound like it may be support reasons why U3 was tougher or more intimidating (had a lower % crushing completion). Sure, some may, but not statistically significant would be my guess. Point #1 possibly a little something to it but I just don't think it would be a significant # who would plat the 1st one and then not try the next two. A lot of us platinumed the trilogy once before and a lot of us did it again, so we don't have to go too far back in comparing them.Īll in all, I still found U4 to be by far the most difficult Crushing of all Edited Jby mcolwander90Īll in all, I still found U4 to be by far the most difficult Crushing of all Veterans do make up a bulk of the people playing the remaster. While I found Crushing on the remaster to be easier across all three, I still think it's worth noting. U1 had the lowest % despite having the most people who've played it (this could be because it may not have aged as well). A higher % of people completed U3 on Crushing in the remastered. Later, I completed that section without dying on the remaster haha.Ĥ. When I finally buckled down and went through it, I had no idea why I was so afraid. Had no issues prior, but I remember this section giving me a hard time on Normal. I know there was a few month period where I couldn't get motivated to try the ship graveyard section. That's where you will find the meat of the difficulty. There isn't a statistic that shows how many people started Crushing, but never finished. For the record, I ended up finding it the 2nd easiest after Golden Abyss.ģ. Some may not have bothered because they thought it would be too difficult. I also found it the most difficult on Normal, which some may agree with. There are plenty of people who platinumed U1 and U2 who don't even want to bother with Crushing in U3 because they didn't like it as much. U3 may be the most polarizing game in the series. Tough to use trophy data as a comparison point because of that.Ģ. A lot of people were motivated to earn that first platinum.

There was a huge rush once the patch came out. It's one of the most platinumed games all time because of that. Uncharted 1 had the very first platinum trophy. U1 was definitely the 2nd most difficult.ġ. U3 also had a ton of DLC trophies, so is that completion % including those or just platinum? U3 also wasn't as popular and people gave up on it more quickly. I am not including U4 as it has not been out long enough, given people enough time to complete.

5-6 percentage points more rare than the first two which is pretty significant given the massive install base for each.

So, yeah, I think Uncharted 3 was the toughest, as it had probably the largest # of tough areas (identified in the post above plus the sandstorm one) not that it was over the top difficult. It only had two hard parts, one of which was easily passable if you just let everyone drop down into the water room and you pick them off above. Lots of revisionist history for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.
